I understand ISO certification is all about quality control. But what does the certification process involve?
The ISO certification process involves asking and answering six basic questions:
- Where are we going?
- Why do we do what we do?
- What do we do?
- How do we do it?
- How well do we prove it?
- How well do we do it?
The questions are simple. Documenting the answers is a rigorous process for most companies. Achieving certification requires a close review and, usually, revisions in a company's quality manual, procedures, work instructions and forms.
