My tractor is bouncing and galloping when I tow implements. What's wrong?

If you own a MFWD or a 4WD tractor, you may be experiencing a condition known as "power hop" when towing implements. Power hop is a high-horsepower/high-torque condition characterized by an intense vertical hop or bounce, or a forward-and-backward galloping, which occurs when the tractor is pulling a drawbar-towed implement. Information about correcting power hop when towing implements can be found in the Tire Finder section of this Web site or the printed Firestone Farm Tire Data Book.
