Descriptions of Duties:
Multi-craft Maintenance position (electrical, mechanical, and electronics) will provide emergency and routine maintenance support to the operations departments in a machine intensive, heavy industrial environment. Provide customer support, perform analytical troubleshooting, provide education to other technicians, collect analyze and perform trend analysis on equipment downtime/frequency/problem data, guide other technicians or support personnel in repair efforts, assist in procurement of equipment, repair parts and technical data/information and provide overall support for all aspects of manufacturing operations.
Routine maintenance, emergency maintenance, preventative/elements of predictive maintenance, administration and coordination of support duties (contract and other technicians) manpower for larger jobs.
Will be responsible for cleaning up job site; return unused materials to storage and dispose of refuse. Will also be assigned additional housekeeping duties as required by management.
Required to document all work performed accurately in computerized maintenance management system, appropriate paperwork provided by supervision, engineering, and/or management. This includes, but is not limited to, documenting the circumstances surrounding breakdown, suspected cause of failure, parts adjusted or replaced, as well as suggested countermeasures.
Performs all work where required by management through various policies and procedures to maintain plant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Other skills used: Language - proficiency in reading and interpreting documentation including electrical schematics, ladder logic, mechanical drawings, and engineering / technical manuals. Mathematical skills - proficiency in calculation of figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to analyze data. Reasoning - ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Reporting - enters all data required to maintain plant ISO/QS Certification in computerized work order system or various forms as determined by policies and procedures. Safety - Observes and adheres to all safety rules and accepted practices at all times to avoid accidents and/or injuries. Corrects and reports unsafe conditions and actions of self, others, and equipment in a timely fashion.
Work Environment & Occupational Demands: Position is located in a machine intensive, heavy industrial manufacturing plant which is subject to: - working in extreme temperature swings (hot and cold) - working in the outdoors - working in overhead or elevated spaces - working below grade or confined spaces - working in dirty spaces
The work weeks runs Sunday through Saturday. Applicants must be able to work either day shift or night shift. Day shift is from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Night shift is from 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. Firestone is a continuous operations plant. The work week is as follows:

Starting wage - $28.53 per hour
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years industrial maintenance in multi-craft environment
or high tech maintenance related military experience
OR
Completed apprenticeship program and 2 years industrial maintenance experience
OR
Associates degree in Electronics, General Technology, Robotics, or related field.
Candidate must also possess general computer skills, PLC experience, and presentation skills.
