Descriptions of Duties:
Primary responsibility for this position will be to lead the development and deployment of plant-wide maintenance skill improvement on general multicraft maintenance skills as well as machine-specific skills/lessons learned. This position will eventually transition into a more traditional maintenance supervisor role.
Accountable for the effective management of a maintenance unit comprised of 20 - 30 hourly teammates. They will be responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures necessary to achieve Corporate, Plant, Departmental and unit goals. Coordination of unit operation with other departmental units, producing, service, and staff departments. Make decisions within the scope of authority delegated by department manager and/or foreman. The work weeks runs Sunday through Saturday. Applicants must be able to work either day shift or night shift. Day shift is from 6 A.M. to 6 P.M. Night shift is from 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. Firestone is a continuous operations plant. Teammates must be able to work a shift schedule with 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next week. Minimum Required Qualifications:
Required: Experience in maintenance training and development in a heavy manufacturing environment. 5-7 years supervising maintenance technicians. Knowledge of PLCs, drives, servos, mechanical systems and fluid power.
Desired: 7-10 years experience and degree in EE, ME or industrial technology/equivalent.
